Terms and Conditions
This End-User Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") is entered into between you (hereinafter referred to as the "User") and the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), a government agency established under the laws of Nigeria, having its registered office at No. 28, Port Harcourt Crescent, Off Gimbiya Street, P.M.B 564, Area 11 Garki, Abuja, Nigeria (hereinafter referred to as "NITDA").
NITDA has developed a Rulemaking/Regulation Portal (hereinafter referred to as the "Portal") to automate regulation development processes. The Portal will be used to collect data from the public, industry experts, and other stakeholders for the purpose of rulemaking and regulation development.
By accessing and using the Portal, the User acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.
The User understands and agrees that the Portal will collect personal data, as defined in the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), from the User during the registration and usage of the Portal. This personal data may include but is not limited to the User's name, contact information, and other relevant information required for regulatory purposes.
NITDA shall use the personal data collected from the User solely for the administration of the contractual relationship as described and defined in this Agreement. This may include, but is not limited to, communication with the User, processing of submissions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
NITDA is committed to safeguarding the User's personal data and will implement reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of personal data. NITDA complies with the NDPR and takes necessary steps to ensure data privacy and security.
NITDA will retain the User's personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws and regulations.
NITDA may share the User's personal data with relevant regulatory authorities, as required by law, to fulfill its regulatory obligations. NITDA will not disclose personal data to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes without the User's explicit consent.
The User has the right to access, rectify, and request the erasure of their personal data, as provided by the NDPR. To exercise these rights or for any data-related inquiries, the User can contact NITDA through the contact details provided in the Portal.
By accessing and using the Portal, the User acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
NITDA reserves the right to modify or amend this Agreement at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Portal, and continued use of the Portal after such changes constitute the User's acceptance of the modified Agreement.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria.
